this has been a great experience, I have gone and done some things I don't think I would have ever done, like blogging. It has been rough to do this because my life is a little hectic now, but I did get it done. I liked some of the visual stuff like the cube of my baby and the games addition. it showed me some new stuff that I want to look at in the future also. The way it was run was perfect, I know it helped a lot off people by doing the workshopss. I would participate and I think this jut touched the tip of the iceberg. Thanks for doing this.

well I have been on facebook for a while, not as active since I got married, all those sites are great to meet people, facebook has allowed old friends from college to find me, and yes there things for the library, it could be used to allow contacts or just show the world we are cool and hip here in Alden.

gotta love them, I can keep up on mike and mike and many other great espn radio broadcasts I miss while at work. It also great to find the steelers parody songs that are out there. There are also ones that will give reviews like Thomas Ford Memorial Library Teen Reviews and many other.

gotta love this site, since I am now on it in the "Big One", the library's YouTube video. They have even started using it in classes now, I have to find one for presentation for english 308J.

Wiki's are cool, the whole idea that people can get together and create and area of mutual likes and dislikes is great. A place where you can be educated on lots of things, whether it be the library or sci fi stuff. Its great you can add content or opionion to these sites. And what they offer for work just check out the Refwiki and Bizwiki.

what to say about these articles, "Away from Icebergs" covers my job, getting away from paper and delivery material electronically. That is what the patron wants, they don't have the briefcase full of folders and papers anymore, they now have the pen drive with its folders and documents. "To a temporary place in time" means a lot of the future is now, I just found out my likenenss will be on a kiosk in Secondlife. These whole worlds of interaction really interest me and the potientials for libraries and people is mindboggling.

so looking at this site I can catch up on what are some of the most popular subject, videos and peoples opionions of them. It interesting to see what the difference between exact phrase, tag and the directory.

So the biggest thing I am running into about technology is the use by other people. It is really becoming obvious how people are resistant to all the change. Some put it down to their age and others just say no interest and that makes working with it diffucult when your job is based on it.

the hardest part of lifelong learning is accepting responsability for my own learning. I guess when it comes to learning something new I just procastrinate. The easist is "playing". I love to play games on the computer and generally play on it. I always say that when a new upgrade happens I have to play with it to learn it.

Can see its uses for more community aspect. Find people who are in to what you like and make connections on wide range of topics, I could locate other steeler fans or some of the geek games I play also. The cool aspect I like about it is the wishlist, maybe finally get those new socks I need.

This site has some potetial, especially to tie in various same type sites. I played around with it and looked at creating a search called Vegas Baby!! I am taking a trip there this september to meet up with some buddies and created a search that allowed me to look at flight and rooms if need.
